Mount Tai, also known as the “Daizong,” is the highest among the Five Sacred Mountains, and has been revered by emperors, nobles, and scholars since ancient times. Since I was young, I have had a passion for travel, and in the year Jiazi, I climbed Mount Tai and recorded the experience as follows:

In March of the year Jiazi, spring was in full bloom, and I, along with a few friends, embarked on a journey to climb Mount Tai. Starting from the city of Tai'an, the scenery along the way was beautiful, with strange peaks, unique stones, ancient trees towering above, all of which left us dazzled. What we saw along the way were the remains of the ancients, which made us reflect on the passage of time.

As the first light of dawn broke, we arrived at the Taishan Shrine, where we saw majestic buildings, the smoke of incense swirling, and the simplicity and solemnity of ancient times. The shrine enshrines the God of Mount Tai, who, according to legend, controls the auspiciousness of the world and protects the peace and stability of the country. We burned incense and prayed in the shrine, hoping for a smooth journey and a successful climb to the summit.

Subsequently, we followed the road of the Eighteen Twists upward. The Eighteen Twists is a dangerous mountain road on Mount Tai, with a total of 18 twists and turns, hence its name. Along the way, there were strange rocks and dangerous cliffs, which made us tremble with fear. However, we were not afraid of the difficulties and climbed with all our might, laughing and chatting all the way, enjoying ourselves immensely.

By noon, we finally arrived at the South Heaven Gate. The South Heaven Gate is the highest gate of Mount Tai, at an altitude of 1545 meters, and is the main climbing route of Mount Tai. Below the South Heaven Gate, the clouds and mist swirled, as if in a fairyland. We stood at the South Heaven Gate and looked out into the distance, where the mountains rose and the sea of clouds stretched out, which made us feel refreshed.

We continued to climb and arrived at the Jade Emperor's Summit. The Jade Emperor's Summit is the main peak of Mount Tai, at an altitude of 1545 meters, and is the highest among the Five Sacred Mountains. Standing on the Jade Emperor's Summit, looking down around, the mountains were layered, and the clouds and mist swirled, as if a beautiful landscape painting. At
