My First Year in Elementary School
Last year, I started my first year in elementary school. It was a big change for me because I had just finished kindergarten and was going to a new school with bigger kids. I was both excited and a little nervous.
In the first week, I met all my new teachers and classmates. They were very friendly and helped me feel welcome. My teacher, Mrs. Wang, is very nice and teaches us a lot of fun things. She always encourages us to speak English and ask questions.
One of my favorite subjects is English. I like learning new words and phrases. My teacher gives us a lot of exercises to practice our English. We also have English classes every day, and I enjoy them very much.
In math class, we learn about numbers and how to add, subtract, multiply, and divide. It's a bit challenging, but I am trying my best to understand it. My math teacher, Mr. Zhang, is very patient and explains the lessons very clearly.
Science is another interesting subject for me. We learn about plants, animals, and the solar system. It's amazing to learn about how the world works. My science teacher, Mrs. Liu, always brings in cool experiments to show us.
During lunchtime, I make new friends and we talk about our day. We share our snacks and play games together. I also enjoy the recess time when we can run around and play on the playground.
In the afternoons, we have different activities. Some days, we have art class where we can draw and paint. Other days, we have music class where we learn to sing and play instruments. I love both of these classes because they are so creative.
One of the highlights of my first year was the school trip. We went to the zoo and saw so many different animals. It was a fun day, and I learned a lot about the animals. My classmates and I took lots of pictures and shared them with our families.
As the year comes to an end, I feel so happy and proud of what I have learned. I have made new friends, improved my English skills, and learned a lot about the world around me. I am looking forward to next year and all the new adventures it will bring.
In English, my essay would be:
