I had some leisure time, so I went to visit the Little Stone Pond. The pond is located in the southwest corner of the mountain. Walking west from a small hill for a hundred steps, I heard the sound of water, like the jingling of jade pendants. I hurried towards it and saw that the water was clear and refreshing. There were more than a hundred fish in the pond, all swimming in the air as if without any support. The sunlight penetrated to the bottom, casting shadows on the stones. They remained still for a moment, then swam away quickly, coming and going swiftly, as if enjoying themselves with the visitors.

Looking southwest from the pond, the river twists and turns like a fighting dragon or a snake, its course sometimes bright and sometimes dim. The banks are jagged and interlocked, and the source cannot be discerned. Sitting on the bank of the pond, surrounded by bamboo and trees on all sides, there was no one in sight, a desolate and lonely place that chilled the soul and made the bones feel cold. It was too serene a place to stay for long.
