My First School Trip

Last Saturday, my class and I went on our first school trip. It was an exciting day filled with fun and learning. We visited the local zoo, and it was a day I will never forget.

The Morning

The day started early. We gathered in the school hall at 7:30 AM. Our teacher, Mrs. Wang, gave us a brief talk about the rules and what to expect at the zoo. We were all very excited and couldn't wait to get started.

We took a school bus to the zoo. The journey was about an hour long, and during that time, we sang songs and played games to pass the time. The bus ride was bumpy, but we were too excited to notice.

The Zoo

When we arrived at the zoo, we were greeted by our guide, Mr. Zhang. He was a tall man with a friendly smile and a lot of knowledge about the animals. He led us to the entrance and explained that we would be visiting different sections of the zoo, including the reptile house, the bird park, and the big cat enclosure.

The Reptile House

Our first stop was the reptile house. We saw lots of snakes, lizards, and turtles. My favorite was the green iguana. It was so big and colorful! Mr. Zhang told us interesting facts about each animal, like how some snakes can climb trees and how turtles can live for a very long time.

The Bird Park

Next, we went to the bird park. There were so many birds there! We saw parrots, eagles, and even flamingos. The parrots were very clever. They could mimic the sounds of other birds and even talk a little bit. One of the parrots said, "Hello, kids!" and we all laughed.

The Big Cat Enclosure

After the bird park, we visited the big cat enclosure. We saw lions, tigers, and leopards. The tigers were my favorite. They were so beautiful and strong. Mr. Zhang told us that tigers are the largest cats in the world and that they live in the forests of Asia.

Lunch Break

After exploring the zoo, we took a break for lunch. We sat on the grass and enjoyed our sandwiches and fruit. It was a nice break, and we all felt refreshed.

The Monkey House

In the afternoon, we visited the monkey house. There were so many monkeys there! They were playing, jumping, and swinging from tree to tree. It was like a big party in the jungle. One of the monkeys even tried to steal our bananas, but we were too quick for him.

The End of the Day

Finally, it was time to go home. We said goodbye to Mr. Zhang and thanked him for his help. We got back on the bus and started our journey back to school. The trip was over, but it was a day I will always remember.

My Thoughts

I had a fantastic time on our school trip. I learned so much about the animals and had so much fun. I made new friends and felt like I was on an adventure. I can't wait for our next school trip!
